01
The challenge
Broken glass is an urgent purchase — every extra tap costs the job.
02
Our approach
Persistent click-to-call, service and location clarity above the fold, and page weight kept low enough to load on a weak mobile connection.
03
The outcome
An urgency-optimised site with call as the primary conversion.
Design decisions
Three choices that made the difference.
Every extra tap costs the job
Broken glass is an emergency purchase. Click-to-call is persistent at every breakpoint, and the number is the largest interactive element on the page.
Page weight treated as a business metric
The site is built to load on a weak mobile connection in a parking lot. Images are sized aggressively and nothing render-blocking sits above the phone number.
Service and coverage clarity in the first viewport
Auto, residential or commercial, and whether they cover your location, answered before any scroll — the two questions that decide whether the call happens.
What the site was built to be found for
Urgent glass repair and replacement searches in Ottawa — auto glass, window repair, emergency board-up — dominated by mobile and near-instant decisions.
Where we would take it next
Location-level pages for the surrounding communities and a same-day availability indicator.
What we built
- —Persistent click-to-call architecture
- —Service split across auto, residential and commercial
- —Coverage area content
- —Aggressive performance budget for mobile networks
Responsive build
The same site, engineered for the phone in your customer's hand.
Tap-to-call in the header, a quote action always in reach, and images sized for mobile data. The mobile view is not a shrunken desktop — it is the primary design.
