01
The challenge
Restaurant sites live or die on menu access from a phone.
02
Our approach
Menu one tap from anywhere, photography that sells the room, and hours, location and ordering always visible.
03
The outcome
A hospitality site built around the two things guests actually want.
Design decisions
Three choices that made the difference.
Menu one tap from anywhere
Restaurant sites are judged on a single task. The menu is reachable from every page and every breakpoint, rendered as fast HTML rather than a PDF that pinch-zooms.
Photography that sells the room
Interior and plated shots carry the atmosphere a menu listing cannot, which is what decides between two similar Thai restaurants on a Friday night.
Hours, location and ordering always visible
The three pieces of information every visitor came for are persistent, not buried in a contact page.
What the site was built to be found for
Local dining searches — Thai restaurant Ottawa, Thai food near me, takeout and delivery queries — heavily mobile and time-sensitive.
Where we would take it next
Seasonal menu updates wired to a simple editor, plus reservation integration for peak nights.
What we built
- —Fast HTML menu system with category navigation
- —Photography-led atmosphere sections
- —Persistent hours, location and ordering block
- —Local SEO with Restaurant structured data
Responsive build
The same site, engineered for the phone in your customer's hand.
Tap-to-call in the header, a quote action always in reach, and images sized for mobile data. The mobile view is not a shrunken desktop — it is the primary design.
